Lvivske – Over 300 Years of Brewing Tradition
Lvivske is Ukraine’s oldest beer brand, with a history dating back to 1715. That year, Count Stanisław Potocki granted Jesuit monks in Lviv the right to establish a brewery in the city’s Krakivske suburb.
Monasteries played an important role in European brewing at the time, and monks were known for both their craftsmanship and their knowledge of brewing traditions and recipes. The beer brewed in Lviv quickly gained popularity beyond the city, and the brewery eventually became one of the leading breweries in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Over its more than 300-year history, Lvivske has become an important part of Ukrainian beer culture and one of the country’s best-known beer brands. That long brewing tradition continues today, combining centuries of expertise with modern production technology.
Lvivske has received numerous awards for its quality over the years, but its greatest recognition is the loyalty of generations of Ukrainians.
