DAOU
World-Class Wines from Paso Robles
Brothers Georges and Daniel Daou searched the world for the ideal place to grow Cabernet Sauvignon. Their journey led them to the Adelaida District of Paso Robles and DAOU Mountain – a place once described by legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff as “a jewel of ecological elements.”
DAOU Mountain’s 212-acre estate combines a climate reminiscent of Napa Valley with soils similar to those of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux. This exceptional terroir provides ideal conditions for producing premium Bordeaux-style wines.
DAOU combines traditional winemaking with modern technology and continuous innovation. Carefully selected grape clones, sustainable vineyard practices, the proprietary D20 yeast strain and custom-made French oak barrels all contribute to one goal: expressing the unique terroir of DAOU Mountain as purely as possible.
The winery’s ambition is to create age-worthy, world-class wines capable of standing alongside those from the world’s most respected wine regions.
